should consult a physician before starting. Many
people have started "out of shape" but they got into better
shape through regular training.
What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)?
BJJ is a system of self-defense developed by Carlos Gracie
Sr. in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the early-mid 1900s. It was
developed from Japanese Jiu Jitsu as taught by Mitsuyo Maeda
but Carlos made it better. BJJ uses a system of leverage,
choke holds, and joint locks for its application.

What is the required equipment for Muay Thai
Classes? For Muay Thai classes you need a
mouthpiece, 16oz gloves, cup, shin guards and muay thai shorts. All of

What is Muay Thai?
Muay Thai is a stand-up martial art that uses strikes with
the hands, feet (legs), elbow, and knees against an
opponent. The shoulders, arms, and legs ("the wall of
defense") are used to block with and some stand-up grappling
(the clinch) is involved.
